Loosen Up a Little......!

What happens when you ask a group of kids to draw?

They start drawing. And if you ask them to dance? They just dance. However, if you ask the same question to an adult, they usually reply, “I don’t know.” Instead of jumping into action, they connect with their logical brain.

When we fear being laughed at, we stop...

  • Doing what we want
  • Having fun
  • Learning

That’s the problem with taking ourselves too seriously: We choose to look good over learning new things. Fear makes our lives boring and repetitive.

It’s easy to get caught up in our own narrative. That we’re a big deal. That we bring so much value to whatever or whoever. Luckily, life brings us all back down. In truth, we’re all replaceable. Even Oprah.

Our friends take us for granted. But not all the time. Sometimes, we just think we’re hot shit. For no reason. It’s the adult version of running around the house with a cape made from your bed sheets. Look, everyone. I’m hot shit.

When we take ourselves seriously, we take others seriously, too—that’s why their opinions can hurt us. Labels don’t define you unless you allow them to. People can call you whatever they want, that doesn’t mean you should make those labels yours.

Anytime I start to stress out, I just remind myself. Within a thousand years, every trace of my existence will have vanished. Even Shakespeare might not last that long. What a relief. Try it sometime.

LOVING YOURSELF ISN'T VANITY, IT IS SANITY!!

You deserve to be loved not only by those around you but by the most important person in your life — YOU .  We practice self-love so we can push through our limiting beliefs and live a life that truly shines. So do yourself a favor, take a deep breath, give yourself a little hug and start this guide to self love: 1. Start each day by telling yourself something really positive 2. End all toxic relationships .  Seriously. 3. Don’t believe everything you think 4. Stop the comparisons. 5. Realize that beauty cannot be defined. 6.  Be mindful of what you think, feel and want. 7.   Take  time out  to calm your mind every day.   8. Laugh More, Especially at Yourself

Life gets busy, our schedules fill up, we get into relationships, and work can feel task oriented and routine-driven at times. Being human can feel more like being a ROBOT . But having this work-driven, serious attitude often results in negative and performance oriented thinking. Becoming positive means taking life less seriously and letting yourself off the hook. This is the only life that you get to live, why not lighten up your mood? Laughter helps us become positive by lightening our mood and reminding us not to take life so seriously. Are you sensitive to light sarcasm? Do you have trouble laughing at jokes? Usually, people who are stressed out and overly serious get most offended by sarcasm because their life is all work and no play. If we can learn to laugh at ourselves and our mistakes, life will become more of an experiment in finding out what makes us happy. And finding happiness means finding positivity.
