Fear makes our lives boring and repetitive.  Life gives us plenty of reminders that we don’t matter..... It’s easy to get caught up in our own narrative. That we’re a big deal. That we bring so much value to whatever or whoever. Luckily, life brings us all back down. In truth, we’re all replaceable. Even Oprah. Our friends take us for granted. But not all the time.   If variety is the spice of life, why do we compare ourselves to others? In the race of life,  we all begin at different starting lines . Some are born into wealthy families some are not. Some are in locations more favorable for success than others. We all have different starting lines, we all face different obstacles and we are all not going to cross the finish line at the same time. The obstacles I face are not the same obstacles you face; some of them are not even the same obstacles members of my own family face. All comparing yourself will accomplish is bring you down. In life they will always be someone better. Getting married, settling down, and having children is not the only way to live life. Anyone can want one or more (or none) of these elements in their life.  Can we imagine a world where everyone did the same thing around the same time? It would be monotonous and controlled.
